Scott Shuster has been a part of the Portland, Maine music scene since the early '70s playing primarily the Hammond organ, piano and synthesizers (with a little guitar on the side). He 'made his living' in several noteworthy local bands - Red Snapper, Magnum, Nightshift, Poor Boy Symphony, Network and The Red Lite Revue - just
to name a few. To be all the more musically involved around Portland, Scott worked as an announcer and DJ for WLOB FM-101 and WMGX-FM while also working for the Friendly River Music and Daddy's Junky Music stores. Scott is currently a jet captain for American Eagle Airlines. Conflicting airline and nightclub schedules have made it difficult to maintain a full musical schedule. But he has managed to remain available for recording session dates and the occasional live gig. While he is still continually writing and recording as much as possible in his home studio, recently Scott has also been recording for Hank Decken, Leo Ganley (Millenium Punch) and Pondering Judd at Dizzyland Recording Studios in Rochester, NH - Billy Winn with Jonathan Wyman at Jonathan's studio in Windham, Maine and Lester Max at Lester Max's Dave Hutchinson's studio in Dover, NH. On the books are sessions with Dale Holden at The Studio in Portland and more sessions with Hank Decken and Leo Ganley. Live gigs have included The Beatles' Album sessions with The Guvnur's and The Kopterz. This celebration of the Beatles' albums was started in March of '07 and has continued ever since with each band completely and faithfully performing a chosen Beatles album. Other gigs have been with The McCarthy's of Portland, Howland and the Wolves (with Howland Bickerstaff) and a few benefit gigs with For Pete's Sake - a conglomeration of the above mentioned bands. |
